I hope these work!
If these do what they say on the box then they are the answer to a dream. Just turn the tank on and off via the transmitter. I have just ordered some, fingers crossed!

Hi Rob tell me to go away in short sharp jerking motions if I am wrong BUT reading the blurb about this unit it seems to me it switches ancilary equipment on and off via your spare receiver channels ( lights, smoker ect ) not the receiver itself. As I said if I have read it wrong sorry as it would be great if it will switch the receiver itself on and off as I would have it in all my tanks. All the best for now
Alan
PS might still get one as it would be fantastic for HL tank lights

You are indeed right Alan. It relies on the receiver for its operation. If you were to use it to switch off the power, the switch itself would have no power to work. Unless of course you have a seperate power source for the receiver.tankman wrote:Hi Rob tell me to go away in short sharp jerking motions if I am wrong BUT reading the blurb about this unit it seems to me it switches ancilary equipment on and off via your spare receiver channels ( lights, smoker ect ) not the receiver itself. I use one of these to control the lights in my Tiger, its excellent for that sort of purpose, and very easy to set up.
Cheers,

Hmmmm. I get your point, I should have asked for clarification from the seller. I have now mailed him for clarification and to cancel the order if it isn't operating under an internal battery so that it will activate the tank board.
Some things are just too good to be true. If its a tx controlled on/off switch then it won't do anything that my Elmod boards don't already do.

Sorry to rain on your parade mate
but to be honest the writeup is a bit unclear. I had to read it several times for it to sink in that it was ancilary equipment that was controlled. All the best for now mate

What led me astray was the pic, I assumed that the inset pic was a battery pack, but on closer inspection it is just the packaged unit. He has a returns policy so with any luck he will simply cancel the order before he posts them and credit my Paypal account.
Back to the clumsy switches...ho hum....
