Hi Oz the WSN tiger 1 is detail wise excellent for a Mid/late version but the running gear is pants with the crappy gearbox that self detonates as soon as you hit Go or a couple of weeks after
the electronics are poor and most i now with them strip out the WSN stuff and stick H/long boards in with the DBCs in place as the stock I/E only works WSN to WSN

the hull is very flimsy and needs strengthening
that said the tank is very do-able and a great runner could be made with a little work
as a tip if you get it and want to now the conversion for the gearbox in my T34 also works for this one  ;) ;)

if the price is half of £70 then it might be viable but that said It's up to you my friend

wacky did a good guide on Hobby Havoc on this one ref disassembly as the hull screws are hidden on the rear deck underneath the 2 little covers

Hope i havent put you off  :-[ :-[

cheers mate,  well I'm not so sure now, the guy wants £45 for it but if i can change the gear box and running gear i might  go for it, but I'm gonna need some help from you guys,  fv 432 looks like I'm gonna be calling on you A LOT,  i think i know more about thermo nuclear dynamics than about the inside of an RC tank!!!!!!!  is there anything else i can use from HL that will help ? cheers tony.

turret rotation motor and box is better (quieter than the WSN)

they really arent that bad just if you want a solid one the work IMHO well need to be done either now or later
will be doing a guide on the Gearbox install for the T34 soon so it may help you

the parts for the conversion all in are around £60 mark but that said you wont have any problems drive wise again
The Heng long boards £16-17 and the Turret rotation £3 ish depends on your source

any help and advice i can give you please feel free to ask ;) ;D ;D

if you get just have a play with it stock and see what you reckon I did this on my t34 and blew 2 gearboxes also got miffed by the 2 stick drive and there is a good guide by wacky on how to install the H/long board

I was thinking about getting hold of one of these, mostly to use the turret for it's correctly offset barrel, and just repacing the insides with the parts from a creeping death one. The turret ring looks like it has similar mounting points to a HL one.

Also i'd like to use the road wheels, they just look more accurate, and i'd like ones with actual rubber around the edges.

Cheers,
Rik

Hi rik
the turret stuff is similar in the WSN and the H/long rotation is nearly a direct swap ;)

thanks brel PM sent,  anyone know if the wheels and upper hull from the wsn could be put on a HL lower hull ? or is that just making things harder for myself.
