Hi Chris

for the gearboxes have a look here http://rctankwarfare.co.cc/forums/viewt ... f=1&t=4079
your basic smoke and sound upgrade package should sort you out new board(rx14/rx18) and controller

hi Chris

this is how I did my KT with a set of standard HL metal gearboxes, cheap, quick and effective.

The answer is no im afraid chris have tried it

the pots are all round the wrong way but if you fancy converting it to h/long tx board it isnt to difficult but you will need to re-wire the potentiometers in the controller

thats what i would do chris just swap out the crystals on the controller

the front drive sprockets inner hub cover pops off and is a real b***h to get of so patience and effort should see you ok it needs quite a bit of brute force without trying to damage it
