Recoil on HL Tiger 1

Post by M41A3 »

I installed the ARM-02-Blitz from http://www.tank-modellbau.de on my Tiger 1. So now I have no recoil on the tank itself, only on the barrel.

Thanks for posting this video. I plan to fit this unit to my Tiger, when I can get around to it. I also like your external aerial/antenna set up. Is it spring loaded ? is it functional ? Can you tell me a bit more about it.

Cheers

Hi Steiner.
Glad you liked the video.

The antenna is a dummy I made og an original HL antenna.

What I did was first I relocated the antenna stand that was placed back on the tank. Then I cut the original down to 125mm (that will be a scala lenght of the antenna). I then took a thin electrical wire and pulled out the copper and used the insualation for covering the antenna.

The working antenna is an internal antenna made after pzrwest antenna mod found here; http://www.hobbyhavoc.com/forum/index.php?topic=155.0

360 rotation...NICE...do you have a harness to unwind later?

Flash mod to time with recoil?

Hi xrad.

Nah, no problem with the wires. One round one way and then back again. But I am working on a project that will give me endless rounds on the turret one way. But like it is today, I have 14 cables going into the turret.

My Tiger came with the flash unit and recoil.

M 41A3,

Thanks for that info, I already have cut my aerial down to scale size and its still works. I wonder if I got some shrink tubing and covered the aerial with that I might get the same effect. It might reduce transmission distance though ?

Great idea though.

Cheers.

Hi Steiner.

I dont know if it will reduce the transmittion distance by using shrink tube. The reason I used the insulation from an electric wire was because I couldnt find a shrink tube small enough in my local store.
