Hi all,now having successfully modified my HL jagdpanther BB version
to the IR version I have the problem of poor synchronisation of recoil,
flash and tank recoil,ie.barrel recoil first followed by flash and tank
recoil.Has any one had any experiance of fitting the Modellbau ARM 02B
module from Welshdragon,it suposedly illiminates the tank recoil but
cannot find out if it cures the premature barrel recoil.

Re: Heng Long Barrel recoil
Steve, Xrad has fitted one. http://rctankwarfare.co.cc/forums/viewt ... 622#p39622
Its page 4 on the link. Dont know whether it cures the prem recoil though. I think it just blocks the rock back. pm xrad and find out.
Cheers

Re: Heng Long Barrel recoil
Thanks,I'll contact xrad and see if he's fitted his and if
it worked.
Steve
it worked.

Re: Heng Long Barrel recoil
The only information recieved so far is that the modellbau module will
elliminate tank recoil, even welshdragon cannot say if it will synchronise
the barrel recoil and flash and elliminate premature barrel recoil, any one
got any experience of the unit.

Re: Heng Long Barrel recoil
Watch my vid. The flash and recoil are synchronized but I rewired the flash to fire from the brown and yellow wires via a SECOND micro switch. This switch is attached adjacent to the first microswitch which runs the recoil motor circuit.
Basically, when I push left stick 'UP', the power to recoil motor circuit begin to turn the motor a for a fraction of a second. This in turn causes the motor to 'unlatch' the modified recoil mechanism which then immediatly retracts due to the outside modified spring. I use several diodes to power the recoil motor. It MUST have a microswitch wired inline with the power sources because if not, the motor will just keep turning.
A soon as the recoil mechanism retracts 1-2mm, the SECOND microswitch closes causing the flash to fire and gun sound to work via closing the brown and yellow wires(secondary plug that comes with recoil/flash wiring harness but does no attach to RX18)
Visually, the flash and recoil work instantaneously and you can't see one before the other.
Lots of work...
As far as the Modellbau unit, it works flawlessly as an interrupt circuit to the motors with enough 'pause' so that my modified recoil mechanism can 'recoil' to the 'fire ready' position. It is triggered by the flash/sound circuit of the microchip and therefore has a trigger wired directly to the chip.
Of course, all this is moot if you have the right recoil and wiring and don;t build it from the wrong parts like I idid.

Re: Heng Long Barrel recoil
Thanks xrad,it's obviously not just a case of wiring in the unit to the standard HL ir
system to resolve the problem.I will probably buy the unit and fit it to elliminate the
tank recoil in the first instance and tackle the recoil unit when time permits.
