Hi all

sunday's .. dont you just love sunday's

it all started with me getting a panther G from FORGEBEAR ...dave was just outstanding in getting it to me super fast
i opend the box and perfection ..almost ..

so i sat down and looked and thought as usual of what i can do .. i just cannot leave any thing out the box so i went and sat in my libary the smallest room i the house with shanks and mckewen furniture ...with a small selection of books and started to look thru ..looking for ideas of simple things todo yea right ...

i came across several pics of late G with interesting camo paint jobs and fell for one or two .. but came a cross a small problem .. the wheels ... there steel wheels ..on them there panther's ... oh nuts ... so i started to plan ..and plan ..and some of you may know i had posted a few questions and and nic.h form swansea was more than helpful with ideas..

i got me a set of torro late tiger wheels and to fit to a tiger ...and your supplyed with a 3mm pin that you hammer in the the suspension arm ..

... its not till you remove the panther wheels that the fun begins .. the panther arms are 6.5mm shafts ..it ment drilling out the wheel centers ... ok no problem .... the tiger wheels are set on cast in spacers to give the correct spaceing .. and the panther inner wheels are inset ..so the laythe was put to some use ..

any way its a very long story to get the wheels to fit .. its taken almost 9 hours to get it right ... with checking and rechecking evey step .. i did not want to mod the panther suspension arms in any way in case i got it wrong ..at lease then o could just refit the standard whells and never say i tryed to save a red face ...

here are some pics of befour .. and after .... what a difference ...

Thats a great job that you have done on the Panthers Wheels and a lot of work. I'm wondering, my late HL Tiger has steel wheels with one exception, they are steel wheel covers. I wonder if they would have worked, they simply push on to the existing wheels. Might have saved a lot of work.
