I cut round the hatch Nic with a 1mm drill in a dremel. I left the hinges on the hatch cover but sanded off the hinges from the rear deck. On the underside I attached some 0.5mm plasticard to form a lip for the cover to sit on. New replacement hinges I made again from plasticard.

Hi Jrc,
Thats a good way of doing it  . I used a very sharp knife and to be honest wasnt over impresed . When My G comes I may try your method. On My Pantiger or as I like to call it now a Panther A . As its all been choped up like Gras. I also opened the front hatches , drivers vission block , escape /loaders hatch and the rear bins to.

Looking forward to the G and the rest of your build.

hi Littletankman, I've been trying to figure a way of opening the front hatches on the G. One hatch is ok but the other has one of the screw lugs bang in the middle of it so it'll need some rearranging ;)

Hi Jrc,
Thats an awkward one I didnt know that . Ive got mine on order from Dave . Ive been working on my Pantiger conversion for ages . It was going to be a wreck but i sorta got carried away so the guts are going back in . I supose its practise for the G , Back to the hatches I will want to open the front ones to so I will be watching your build mate. Are you doing the bins ? I fixed my hinges to the outside as I have covered them with zimmerit . However the HL Panther G is a to later model to zim so will have to re think that one. So there will be more Gs out there now more poor lonely A , however Ive seen a D build.
