King Tiger convoy light

Hi all
As mentioned in the Jagdpanther build thread
viewtopic.php?t=37728&start=100
Here is how will be doing the convoy light on the KT
I am using 2mm 5-12v 2mm blue leds
1st I paint the led matt black and gave it 2 coats leaving the 2mm tip unpainted
this is to stop light bleeding into the tank and giving the engine bay an eerie blue glow
Then I removed part of the convoy light as shown
I will be using the ink holding part of a ballpoint pen as the light cover which is painted Tamiya transparent blue
Hit a little problem when drilling the 2mm hole for the led it was hitting the back panel support
Removed support then glued led in place
after gently bending the led wires down a bit i was able to refit the support
I then used a normal 3 wire servo to rx plug with the white wire and plastic removed
Soldered the plug to the led wires and plugged it into led port 3 on the mfu and it can now be switched on off from the tx
routed the wiring so it wont foul anything in hull
and finished light
oops forgot to mention i had to cut a bit of the led tip to fit the tubing as it protruded a good bit through the rear panel
