Hello from Michigan

Hello everyone, I am a retired toolmaker and Mechanical Engineer by trade. I would like to build a 1/6 scale tank such as a Sherman or a Pershing. I have a full machine shop and welders at my disposal plus cad. I live in Michigan USA. I also have a lot of steel and aluminum. I have collected 1/16 scale Henglong tanks. I'm a 1/16 scale guy who works glacially, but...there are several large scale folks on here (the tanks they build, not them personally...), plus even a few brave souls that build in metal. There's a large scale section on the forum that you can browse for ideas and inspiration. Enjoy!

Welcome to the forum. I lived in Ann Arbor for a few years when I was in elementary school. I don't have all the tools to do the metal working so my 1/6th projects are mostly 3D printed. Currently working on my 1/6th KV-1 which is pretty much a roller at this point. Good luck with the project.
