Hello Everyone
Hello Everyone
Another newbie rolling onto the battlefield here. I've been lurking around the forum for a while, and figured it was high time for Htake to register and officially introduce myself.
My journey started back in the day with a Heng Long M41 Walker Bulldog, which sadly gathered dust for years until a few months ago when I stumbled upon it and decided to get back into the hobby. Since then, it's escalated a bit! I've added a Tamiya Tiger I (a real classic!), a Taigen Sherman, and most recently, a CoolBank Challenger 2 that I'm currently in the process of detailing. I've already swapped out the plastic road wheels for metal ones, can't stand that squeak!

Re: Hello Everyone
Hello Htake: we will all be interested in what you are accomplishing with any of the tanks, and the UK folks just love that Challenger 2.

Taigen Sherman
CoolBank Challenger 2
So when are you going to really get started buying tanks?

Re: Hello Everyone
Welcome Htake. Saw the Sherman listed which is a big thumbs up for me. Ask any questions, there are plenty of talented members on the forum that I'm sure will have an answer.
Again welcome aboard!

Hello and welcome from Argyll and Bute.

If Htake has a Challenger. He will not have time for anymore tanks.Herr Dr. Professor wrote: ↑Sun Oct 26, 2025 1:55 pm Hello Htake: we will all be interested in what you are accomplishing with any of the tanks, and the UK folks just love that Challenger 2.

I'm focusing on the positive. No disparaging Tiger remarks welcoming the new chap is a bit of progress...

Thanks so much for the warm welcome, everyone!
Herr Dr. Professor and Meter rat... I knew the Challenger 2 was going to attract comments! I admit, she’s a big project, and I’m taking my time detailing her properly, that metal road wheel swap was a necessity to kill the squeak! But don't worry, there's always room for one more... eventually.

Ecam, glad to hear you're a Sherman fan! That one's been a blast to run. I'll definitely be posting some photos and questions about the Challenger 2 progress soon.
Cheers!

Welcome from Ontario,
Canada!
A good approach. Get the swearing out of the way with the Challenger, and then enjoy the smoothness of assembling the Tamiya kit. I saw one in a hobby shop once and asked the price. The clerk answered, looked at me and said, "Did you just say, "gulp" ?!"
Mike.
