Well folks, it occasionally happens when a new member signs up for all number of reasons but forgets, or feels above the need to be polite & do a brief introduction.
Please direct them to do so by all means and if that well intended and polite advice is ignored or reacted to in a negative manner, we/I will swiftly send them back whence they came .
No need for you nice types to get in a slanging match, that’s why there are Aholes like myself & Mr Gunner here
Let’s carry on model tanking and trust in that most folks are genuine & sometimes don’t get it right, where others are just -bags and are shown the toilet.

Unfortunately, many users register just to get an answer to one question and then disappear forever. We recently encountered one like that. When asked to introduce himself, he called us assholes. He was banned.

I got that one this morning.
It’s pretty simple, do the right thing & that is reciprocated, don’t, and see what happens.
Those rude ones need us all more that we need them so if they feel entitled to info or an opinion, but don’t make an effort to demonstrate respect to the members of this community, they will be squashed.

I guess I missed all the fun then

We also get the odd few that give a short hello, or ask silly questions, or use past talking points in old threads, only to come back at a later point to edit their post into spam. Those ones, we just lock their first post to stop editing and watch what they do next, usually they log back on days later, log off, and we never see them again.

Not that long ago I was close to getting banned because of being so fed up with those putative members who only wanted to take from us,
Apparantly my response was not helpful,
If I did not apologise then I do now and I welcome the recognition by the Forum that enough is enough.
