A question for you electronic gurus.Might sound dumb but can a Heng Long TK 7.0 control board be used with the standard type 380 Tamiya motors that come in Tamiya Tiger 1,King Tiger, Panther etc.

Probably, I know the red HL motors are 390s. I think the blue ones are 380s and maybe the stock ones are 360, but don’t quote me on it. So, can they handle the motors, I would say yes. Will it be plug and play, probably not. I think the TK 7.0/7.1 uses banana connectors, and I don’t know what connectors Tamiya motors use. So you will probably need to buy banana connectors and a crimp kit. At minimum.

Thanks for the reply Jib. I think the standard Heng long motors are 380 as well. Tamiya motors have banana connectors[yellow and green wires] but just to have no confusion I will change wires to Heng Long Red and black male banana connect wires from motors . Any body else that can shed some light on the subject. Cheers

In answer to your question yes a TK7.0/7.1 will control Tamiya motors, and you can slow down the speed from the TX, as I had to. The Tiger was quicker than my Challenger. The same board will also operate the Taigen/Tamiya recoil, with a bit of rewiring. I did it on my cobbled together Frankentiger.
