Hi all
Just wondering how complicated these boards are compared to trying to set up a Open panzer board( not fun)
I am building a 1/6 Tiger 1 And want something with more control than a Heng Long board,
I'm definitely not the smartest with electronics.
What board would be best suited? ( they have a few models I believe)
Cheers

Re: El mod boards for electronic dummies
In my experience, Ellmod is easier to use than Open Panzer, although it may have fewer features (but that also depends on what you expect from your motherboard). Currently they only offer FusionX. My main problem with the OP was the receiver-transmitter connection issue. I was unable to set up the s-bus/i-bus and the tangled cables are not for me.
I personally use the Beier SFR-1-HL in two models and am very happy with it. Especially because its VERY loud sound compared to the Heng Long.

Re: El mod boards for electronic dummies
I have Elmod in all my 1/16 models and OpenPanzer in my 1/8 model.
I love Elmod, very simple to use, but it doesn’t support ESCs, which if you’re making a 1/6 scale model, you will probably need them.
I chose OpenPanzer over Beier because my 1/8 scale model also has Airsoft function and I don’t think Beier supports that (I could be wrong, it’s been a while since I looked). Also I was able to pick one up from MotionRC as opposed to having something shipped over from Europe. OP has a lot of flexibility in what you can do, but having to set up the sound card stuff separately is kind of a pain in the butt. Luke in this forum is the maker of that MFU and has been very responsive any time I have had a question, so his customer service is pretty great.
SGS Electronics also makes MFUs that work with ESCs along with a slew of other supporting electronics (I use his drive ESC and gun stabilizer in my 1/8) but right now he is not currently shipping to the US, if that’s where you are located.

Old (no longer produced) Fusion Pro- yes. New FusionX - no.

I sure miss the Fusion-Pro!
