I believe that’s the Littlefield Panther.
I’ve been all over that when it was in San Francisco back in the day.
It used to have strange mounts on the sides, reasons for which has never been confirmed.
Looks like a great facility

Bravo, BITTEN: that's a great trip to make with a grandchild! He'll never forget it. I spotted something else interesting in the photo: little white fender locators on a Panther.

Re: American Heritage Museum ,Hudson MA
Fort Benning has four Panthers and a Jagdpanther G1. One Ausf A, two Ausf Gs and the one and only Panther II prototype.
You have already seen the Littlefield Panther Ausf A.
The Heikendorf basement Panther Ausf G is also in the US however that one is not currently visible to the public.
And including Canada there is also another Ausf A at the Canadian War Museum.
In total that makes seven Panthers and one Jagdpanther in North America.

The six mounts on the Littlefield Panther were for carrying Brückentafel (infantry bridge boards) the same type of mounts were also photographed on a Tiger.HERMAN BIX wrote: ↑Thu Jul 31, 2025 1:55 am I believe that’s the Littlefield Panther.

Yes he loved it..they gave him a scavenger hunt sheet..printed both sides and he/we had to find the items with hints so i need to go back on my own to just soak it ALL up ..he was VERY interested in the train car used to transport people to the camps..they where playing a video on the back wall ..Gram had to have the careful talk with him about what happened ..they have a 6 Wheel Mercedes staff car with a Hitler dummy standing in it and she had already told him that Ole AH was a nasty bad dude..so she was able to start with that ..Yes it has the white fender locaters ..i have other pictures you can see them inHerr Dr. Professor wrote: ↑Thu Jul 31, 2025 3:28 am Bravo, BITTEN: that's a great trip to make with a grandchild! Good Morning, Bittin,
Sounds like the Trip was everything and more a young (and Older) Armor Addict could want. The Machines that were used along with Displays of 'Why' they were in use is very important. Your Grandson will remember this and be well rounded and tempered in his enjoyment of this Hobby. Thanks for sharing that joy with us! ;0)
regards,
Painless
P.S. Fender locators on a Panther! That is something I've never laid eyes on before and will have to remember.

BITTEN: I appreciate your willingness to correspond with us here on RCTW. Many do a minimal, if any, "introduction" and then disappear. (And the tech-oriented here on RCTW generally can detect spammers.) I hope we can help you enjoy this hobby. There are many on RCTW whose skills are amazing and who are also helpful. Me? Well...I have a regular Tuesday static and train modeling group of a few addict friends whom we informally call "Make Modeling Mediocre Again." (I'm the only one who also makes electronic boards smoke and sizzle.) I am of the low skills/lotsa fun type.
