Gun stabilizer

Hello! I am working on a custom 1/12 M1A2 Abrams Tuskii and need some info.
I would like to have a fully stabilized main gun. I plan on using a servo for gun Elevation/Depression and want something relatively cheap.
I want something cheap(as stated), reliable, and something that isn't discontinued. I would like for it to be off the self so that I can purchase multiple for further projects.
Originally, I planned on using either a rc drift gyro or rc plane gyro. I thought I was a genius till yesterday when I tried it and it didn't work... at all. :headbang:
So, is there any off the self gun stabilizers? If not, what's a good alternative? Arduino? A different rc gyro? So many questions I have, so I'm leaving it to the people who know more than I do! :D

Thanks!

Hi,
there is only the solution from Clark..... but Clark.....
The stabilisation unit from SGS is only for elevation an very expensive.
The best way is DIY with arduino.
There is a project called "StabiWii Turret Stabilization by Squirlier"
Take a look: https://openpanzer.org/forum/index.php?topic=18.0

I equipped a T-90 with it:

Interesting... looks like I'm buying an arduino! Thank you very much!

Can Shuo (heng long) CS-TK-SWB is a gun stabilization module made for use with the cs tk16 but I’m sure it can probably used with other tank speed controllers. More expensive is the sgs TVS-GSU-12 horizontal and vertical stabilizer designed for the Tamiya leopard DMD.

I have the SGS TVC-GSU-12 (which is made for any PWM based receiver, I think -11 is only for the Tamiya DMD) and I can confirm it is expensive and really it is meant to be used as a turret control board rather than just a stabilizer. In addition to stabilization, you can have it control recoil, it has auto loader functions, a function to set back deck height with a sensor, it can control flash, and if you use it with SGS’s MFU you can have it control a weapons station and a periscope as well. It can also handle up to to 24v, which is useful for my 1/8 scale model.

I am using this in my 1/8 scale Abrams, with and OpenPanzer MFU and you can see it in action in these two videos:

https://youtu.be/DJX6YsUvGV8?si=Rwy9ptWqnJEwLLYm

While I have used it in a 1/16 scale model, it is a bit overkill if you just want stabilization in a 1/16 scale model.

Although I have not installed them, I have purchased a couple of the gun stabilization units mentioned in the post above. From what I can remember looking at them before, they can be used with any model that has servo elevation and either servo or motor traverse. There wasn’t any kind proprietary hook up that was needed. I believe the TK7.1 has a plug that can be used to turn this unit on and off.

These are much cheaper than the TVC-GSU-12, and seems very plug and play friendly, just need a servo for elevation, motor or servo for traverse, and power to power the unit. Maybe it has a servo output to connect to a PWM based RX so you can use a 3 position switch to control it?

Well 35rctank is not currently shipping to the states.

Here’s something else I had forgotten about

Those are just RC submarine levellers. No on off switching which would make it more effective

Yeah I think the easiest and cheapest is going to be the ToucanHobby/CanShou? stabilizer.

Would this plug into and work with a TK7.1 and be accurate for a Leopard 2A6?
