Gun stabilizer

Post by M1A2AbramsTuskII »

Hello! I am working on a custom 1/12 M1A2 Abrams Tuskii and need some info.
I would like to have a fully stabilized main gun. I plan on using a servo for gun Elevation/Depression and want something relatively cheap.
I want something cheap(as stated), reliable, and something that isn't discontinued. I would like for it to be off the self so that I can purchase multiple for further projects.
Originally, I planned on using either a rc drift gyro or rc plane gyro. I thought I was a genius till yesterday when I tried it and it didn't work... at all. :headbang:
So, is there any off the self gun stabilizers? If not, what's a good alternative? Arduino? A different rc gyro? So many questions I have, so I'm leaving it to the people who know more than I do! :D

Thanks!

Hi,
there is only the solution from Clark..... but Clark.....
The stabilisation unit from SGS is only for elevation an very expensive.
The best way is DIY with arduino.
There is a project called "StabiWii Turret Stabilization by Squirlier"
Take a look: https://openpanzer.org/forum/index.php?topic=18.0

I equipped a T-90 with it:
