Had this for 5 odd years now & left it to languish on the shelf.
While I decide what next major project to start I thought I’d give this a bit of an update & tidy.
Plan to use surplus V7 in it but it won’t have recoil for now. The barrel will be set up for recoil but there are no stocks of 7.1 down here right now. I will also do up a commander figure from one of Mr RAMINATOR’s fine prints.
An oil tank & basic stuff like that.

Against my better judgement, its opened up, cleaned out & now to the fix ups.
Noticed 2 roadwheels that were refusing to rotate freely & when one was removed it decided to snap the axle off the swingarm :-<
Drilled & tapped the arm out to receive a surplus suspension screw from I believe a Leo(spares box from G.K.W. ) and drove the thing into place.
Rotation restored on both, with a snifter of WD40 spray to help the matter.

I'll get jiggy wid-it over the weekend (after preparing Nacho mix for 265 hungry Dance comp spectators :wtf: ) in the morning & see how it shapes up.

I stripped a V7 out of a T34 that is pending a conversion some day & installed it into the KV-1 .
What a great idea !
Tidied up the wiring, hooked up the MG, carved off the BB system ready for a recoil mod some day., added the mash panel into the rear hull valance and fitted my second to last oil tank .
For the time being its a vast improvement and will do for this kid.
Once the commander figure is in, the poor ole thing will have a new lease of life !

Got the T.C under way.
Base of all flat black, a dusting of white from above, and several washes of water thinned XF-78 Wooden Deck Tan .
I have used Desert Yellow XF-59 but its a bit too bright. The tanning effect on sheepskin is closer using the Deck Tan I reckon.
Used the glazing method I learned form me ole Uncle Nightshift.
Hes a good fit for this thing, seems to reflect the mood............

On the shelf it goes, repaired & ready to run...............one day
