So I have just got my first tank. For now just want to play and have fun. I went for the Panther V which I know is not a real tank as such.
I want to know if there are any mods that will help it regarding longevity. I don’t want to make it something it’s not but if there are any HL weaknesses I can avoid I would appreciate the heads up!
Since it has the Tiger I lower hull and running gear you may have issues with it shedding tracks at the rear idler wheel when running outdoors and on more challenging surfaces other than indoor smooth floors/carpet. It's common if the idler wheels or road wheels aren't aligned. You can unscrew and add 1 to a few thin washers between the idler wheel and the chassis to align it better. Another suggestion would be to disable the super spin function which exacerbates the track shedding issue with these tanks and of course drive it judiciously.
You could make (or maybe buy) a hull brace. Keeps the plastic hull from twisting too much, which can lead to cracks and stuff over time, depending on how you drive.
If you don’t have metal road gear (gearbox, drive sprocket, idler wheel, road wheel, tracks) you could get that.
As far as longevity is concerned that’s all that comes to mind. Now if your looking non longevity related mods, there’s a lot of that.
