Hello

Post by JimIOW »

Hello to all. I am Jim from the Isle of Wight, where I live with my long suffering wife, Ruby. For my 65th birthday I treated myself to a Heng Long challenger 2, upgraded with metal tracks, wheels, metal gearbox with steel gears and a 360 degree turret conversion. My other interests are photography, guitars, I play in a local band, and air rifles. Pleased to meet you all!

JimIoW. Hello and welcome to the forum from Argyll and Bute. Fantastic, another Challenger 2, into the fold. I’m sure you will have lots of fun with it. A word of warning, they do like to throw tracks, especially on grass.
I also used to enjoy air rifles, but due to the restrictions up here in Scotland it made it uneconomical to bring them up from England. We need gun safes, and a license.

Greetings from many waves away, JimIOW. And congratulations on 65 years of youth. By age, you will fit right in here on RCTW. Well, you might be a bit younger than many of us. A few weeks ago I updated the electronics in my Challenger II from some years ago, did some painting one it, and a touch of weathering. I have a few other contemporary Main Battle Tanks to join it. But, then, I have more than a few others, too...way more...too many more...but who's counting?

Yes. The Scottish National Party decided there was far too much death caused by them.

Do they deal with the issue of velocity, or is it just a blanket requirement? In Canada, anything under 495f/s is free for anybody to use, but over that you need a firearms possession and acquisition license (PAL) to own and use.

You put me in the mind of one of my many favorite Beatles songs. Those who get it will get it.
Welcome aboard!
