Heng long challenger 2 loose turret

My challenger 2 is well maintained but I just want to know how to fix the turret. Its a bit loose as it moves a fair bit vertically and left to right. Im just wondering would any body know how to fix it?

As you can probably guess Im coming to message about my challenger 2's turret. Its come slightly loose and I have no idea how to fix this. All the screws are well in on the rotation ring but otherwise I have no idea, if anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated!

Hello and welcome from Argyll and Bute. A few details would be nice. Like where you reside in the world. Nothing specific, like the Highlands of Scotland, South East England, Ohio, America. What skills do you have? Are you a complete novice, or do you have some other RC skills, in say helicopters? This is because we are nosy, and it help us to help you. We do like photos as well.

I would

AHEM: ALWAYS SCREW CAREFULLY USING NO NORE FORCE THAN JUST NECESSARY.

1. open the hull (as you have apparently already done);
2. write on masking tape where each connection to the turret goes, using whatever terms, numbers, whatever you want so long as these are clear to you
3. stick the tape to the wires and to tge place to which each wire goes;
4. taking photos of all the cable connections every step of the way, disconnect only the little plugs you need disconnected to leave the turret free to be removed;
5. unscrew the screws from the turret ring to lift off the turret;
6. check to see if:
6a. reassemble the turret ring to tge turret bottom to see if the turret ring screws are really going all the way in;
6b. check to see if the turret bottom itself is screwed in fully;
7. with the turret ring removed, put the turret bottom in place on the upper hull and turn it by hand to see if thee is a bumpy or sticky spot that can be sanded or polished;
8. either reassemble and run your repaired, reassembled turret happily
-or- take photos galore and put them up here to see if others can help.

You have piqued my curiosity. I checked on my own Challenger, and there is approximately 3mm of vertical movement, with approximately 6mm of movement side to side. Having not really given much thought to the problem, I can only suggest a small amount of packing between the turret ring and the hull. Maybe some washers? Between the turret ring and the upper hull. The mesh between the turret ring and the drive is not the most precise. I have no idea how you would resolve this, other than have a new ring and drive made from brass. Or you can just accept it is a toy, and not worry about it.

You could have someone 3D print a ring to shim the turret. Would probably take 15min to print. I did that recently on the T29 build when there was too much slop around the turret ring.

Im not intending to be rude but Im asking about tank parts, I am literally brand new to the forums. Im asking a question about tank parts and mean no offence but a formal introduction is a bit much. I just messaged you as you seem to respond quickly.
