hi all, as some of you know ive just got my hands on my first tamiya tank , it was on ebay and i had to have it as it was buy it now for £99, as its my first tamiya i intend to give it as much detail as i can
here is a picture as it came to me

ive startad to give it a stripdown and rub down the paint

i bought the lion roar/ impact photo etched kit for it , lots of realy small bits O.O

opened up the engine bay door using the thread saw method then added a handle made from copper wire also added the retaining catch as well as making the hatch latches

started to give the turret some detail by adding the track hangers

got abit more done to the new love of my life fitted the resin commander hatch as well as the resin exhaust armoured shields

Looking good ice. Does it have the DMD Units, or are you going to add them. Any ideas for a colour scheme.

i started on the photo etched kit today, i decided to start on a easy piece and went for the c clamp holders

after finding the c clamps not to daunting i went for a bigger challenge and picked one of the rear mud guards

sorry it doesnt look that detailed in the picture , a bit to much light shinning off the brass

cheers for the comment steiner, yes i will be adding the dmd units, still havent made my mind up on a colour scheme yet, still looking at alot of reference pictures

Looking great Ice! Those photo-etch parts look so daunting when you first look at the sheets, but they get easier and easier the more you do.
One tip, soak them in vinegar for about 5 minutes, then rinse in cold water, its cleans the surface nicely for soldering. Also, annealing the hinges and rolled parts makes life so much easier.

thanks for the tip rik, im soldering most of the joins but for the realy small stuff im using super glue
