Tamiya King Tiger

Post by Jimster »

Received this beauty today from another member via EBay. Never thought I would own any Tamiya tank due to the expense but the price was amazing without electronics which is what I prefer.

Hey, hey, Jimster! You are on a roll! I doubt, however, that you shoveled that little path for the Konigstiger only. Clearly you must know how to put one foot squarely in front of the other. :P

Right on my friend! That’s the path I shoveled to our garage. Almost looks like a 1/16 scale road doesn’t it? That’ll be our little secret.

Hello,

you have found a nice basis.

What fascinates me again and again is that so many people don't manage to assemble the exhaust correctly.

You will certainly make something nice out of it, we are watching you.

with regards,Guido

Looking forward to what you create with this Jimster and a added bonus is you don't need to deal with a existing paintjob. Happy tanking .John.

I have a static Tamiya Königstiger that I bought over a decade ago. I have often wondered what would be involved in converting it to RC. I always thought it would be fun to do the assembly and painting, if only the RC part weren't so complicated and costly. So I will be watching here even as I do a bit of budget scrimping and scraping for some time.
