Torro IR converter TOROP-01006

I'm trying to get my V3 Taigen board to be compatible with the 6.0/7.0 Heng long IR combat system. I bought a Torro IR converter for this purpose. The problem is it does not come with instructions. What I need to know is if I need to buy Heng Long receiver and flash units or taigen?

Hello and welcome to this forum, I don't quite understand? the fact of wanting to make Taigen V3 compatible with Heng Long 6.0 or 7.0? two brands and models different in their operation, moreover it would be better to post, following your presentation, in the "Electronics" section for any questions

Should you search on the internet? (thanks Google) you will find numerous explanations, diagrams, etc., as well as on YouTube and in the post cited above.

Ok I think I get your question. If you are running the Taigen V3 then you need Taigen parts. The Taigen IR battle system will work with the Heng Long TK 7.0 system but in my experience is not 100% flawless.

So you have this from Taigen?


The picture shows where the wiring and harness plugs attach.


But you'll also need the IR bulb. I'm not sure if that's included in what you got but I know that Tiagen sells them-


The IR bulb is top right in that picture with the red and black wires. It is already wired into the harness here. I do not know more how it is attached but it for sure could be traced.

I hope that helped a bit. You do not need or want any Heng Long IR hardware for the Taigen IR battle system.

I have one of the converters. You can use your Taigen apple (receiver) and Taigen IR LED.

Thanks for the responses guys. The part I'm confused about is the connection of the Flash Bulb and the Apple to the converter. The converter has a five pin connector. The Flash Bulb and Apple combined have five wires. What I don't know is which wires go to which pins on the converter.
