Hello,
My name is Stephen. I'm from Nebraska, USA. I have been a lifelong scale model builder. I build a lot of different subjects, depending on my mood.
I do enjoy building armor. This is my first RC tank. I treated myself to a Heng Long 1/16 scale Tiger 1 this year. It's on the cheaper end of things, but has a lot of upgrade potential at least for my future endeavors. It only took me almost 50 years.
I'm very much looking forward to doing a custom paint scheme with appropriate unit markings....DAK, North Africa.
Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of the group.

Re: First RC Tank
Welcome to the forum Stephen. Lots of terrific builds on the forum for the HL Tiger I. Upgrades are available in abundance. There is a build section viewforum.php?f=134 A what to fix section (depending on how far you want to take it toward a "scale" tank) viewforum.php?f=35
I too did the smaller armor way back when, but really enjoy 16th these days. A bigger canvas.
My favorite (and my daughters) go-cart track is in North Platte. Been to Lincoln Ne. for the SCCA autocross Nationals for many years.
Again, welcome aboard and let us know if we can help.

Welcome to the forum Stephen, from New York.
What's a Tiger?
Take a look around the digs, plenty of information and solid helpful folk round these parts. Thanks for the introduction, its nice to meet ya and foster some niceties before any quid pro quo. I look forward to see how your project comes together.

Welcome to the forum. From Argyll and Bute, Scotland. I have been told I need to be helpful and nice to people who have Tigers.
As Mr Chef seems to have forgotten what a Tiger looks like here is a reminder. .
Plenty of more skilled modellers on here than me. However ask plenty of questions. Plenty of humour as well.

Re: First RC Tank
Otherwise? there is also this type of Tiger
But less fun
it was too easy, as a joke!!! and just a bit of humor in this world. I promise, I would do it again

Re: First RC Tank
Heng Long Tiger was my first tank as well. Very fun to detail.
