Thank you everyone for helping me with my previous mixing question, I really appreciate it. It was drawn to my attention to remove one of the positive leads to one ESC, otherwise it could be damaged.
In the photo attached, I broke the positive lead to the ESC on the LEFT. Now....only the left motor runs and the right doesn't. I'm so confused....sorry. If I DON"T disconnect the positive lead both motors run as expected....but then won't I damage the ESC?
Thanks for your patience, I really appreciate it!!

When using two ESCs on a single receiver (separate channels) only one of the ESCs red power wire (receiver connector) should be used. Both ESCs powering the receiver will cause problems. In the picture it looks like you pulled the black wire, the black and white reverse polarity as the channel is modulated. The center red wire is a power source on an ESC and the signal wire on servos.

That's what I read, researched about two ESCs. It was the red I broke. Thanks, appreciate the reply!

Was it the center wire in the receiver connector?

Also I was able to use one switch on both of my DUKW builds. Most of these switches have six lugs. Three on each row are isolated from the pairs next them. On the first DUKW I tied the wires from the two ESCs according to color and soldered to the switch. On the second I used each side of the switch (center pair and one end pair).
