A little about myself

Post by TankDriver »

Hi all, I've been tanking for about a year, preferring to customize RTR models but am ready to try a scratch-build, probably of another Tiger I. Looking forward to learning from everyone & contributing what I can... thanks!

Welcome to the forum TankDriver! I enjoy scratch building but I question another "Tiger I". Generally scratch builds are done on things generally not available in kit form or RTR. I look forward to what ever you build. Suggest you look at the many fabulous builds on here (many are scratch built) and find a subject that suits you. One of or members did a killer Bergepanzer based on the PZIII but I recall there was a Tiger I version too.

Look forward to what ever you choose and again Welcome aboard!

Hello! Do you have any photos of your customized RTR models? We'd sure like to see 'em. I, too, recommend the idea Ecam offers just above.

Welcome aboard! I think a Tiger 1 is an excellent choice and an opportunity to correct the incorrect features found on most RTR offerings.

Please, no more Tigers. The whole world and their partner has one. 😂 Welcome to the most helpful forum ever, from Argyll and Bute.

Poor Meter rat: he's a good-hearted wizard with modern Main Battle Tanks and Single Malt Scotch. (Ooh! that sounds good right about now!)

Not sure yet if I'll even have the time to do a scratch-build, but figured that if I did then already being familiar with the Tiger's details will save me a ton of time & research, and will let me avoid many of the inaccuracies I usually see in RTRs
