Hello all, new to the tank scene, Just picked up a Heng Long 1/16 tiger, early version i believe as it has no crystals, The tx says sender and has ABC on it.
Does anyone have a pointer to the manual please or could explain what the 3 buttons on the tx do (1 has ok ,3 has 123456) not got the foggiest what button 2 says.also the red switch under the hatch on the tank.

Does this tank have slow and fast or just one speed.

I don't have the manual, but...

The ABC are the frequency selection so "up to three can play". The switch under the hatch is to turn off the BB shooter (airsoft) but still retain the cannon sound and track recoil. Two of the buttons on the TX should be for machine gun fire sound (and possibly MG strobe light if equipped) the other for cannon (BB) shoot. The last button might be "start up/quit" once both power switches have been turned on.

As I recall on the HL some units required a turret control lever moved to one position while the cannon fire button is pushed. Those tanks I had with that system have been converted to newer systems YEARS ago. Hope that is some help to you.

And yes the speed control is an on/off affair the new stuff is light years ahead.

HI, Pavel: I think I have a museum. I have at least two HengLong tanks with crystals and one of the goofy "programmable" ones from, what, twenty years ago? I leave them alone, believing that 1) examples will someday be interesting and 2) I have more newer projects than money.
