Johnsons clear

Post by percy1510 »

I know that this has probably been asked before but is Johnson’s clear still available but under a different name?

Who sells it?

Thanks

I had heard that a few alternatives and guises had been tried by various modellers without any good results.
But, not all was lost. A particular model maker called George Dent had discovered that 'Pledge Multi Surface Wax with Klear', is a close, or the closest alternative. Apparently it looks milky before use, but it dries clear.
He found a 750ml bottle/container for around a fiver in Morrison's.
BUT, that was back in 2013.
In 2021 someone had stated it is just called "Pledge Multisurface Polish" in the UK. But is still the same stuff as in 2013.

Edit: I personally have no experience with either product, therefore I can only pass on what I have read on the subject, and hope it is helpful.

My references.
