Heng long v7.0 servo barrel recoil

I have seen a few YouTube videos where people are using a servo for barrel recoil with a heng long v7.0 mfu. Looks like they have made a wiring change to the servo changing from 3 to 2 wires. Does anybody on here have any ideas as to what the servo modification is?

Yeah, you remove all the guts that make it a servo and remove the signal wire which then converts the servo to a straight DC motor (positive and negative wires). It is no longer a servo at that point. Then they hook it up to a motor driver in the 7.0 board.
