Help me pick My First Tank!

Post by jfulls94 »

Hi guys going through some research here and im starting to narrow down on the - Platinum Version RC 1/16 King Tiger - im just wanting to know if any of you guys own it what are its good and bad points, the lack off a metal deck is something im not so fussed on but i like its electronics suite.

How is its slow / "Scale" speed & acceleration? I really like a tank to be able to crawl and look realistic in its movemet

Im also concidering the Torro King Tiger or Panther G so its a toss up.

Thanks for reading

The question that you should be asking is who do I buy it from?
There are dealers out there who will steal your bootlaces before providing you with a Tank,
There are dealers out there who you would invite to Sunday lunch,
Finding them is where we come in.
www.forgebeartanks.com is not a Heng Long dealer BUT he will do his best to get you the Tank of your dreams,
Simply put Dave is the best dealer in our hobby,
Talk to him he is brilliant oh and if you do buy from him don't be surprised if there is something extra in the box.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

The supplier relating to the HL premium king tiger is Haya themselves would they have a good reputation?

Thanks

Taigen tanks are quite nice but their electronics are a bit dated. If you buy heng long tanks make sure it's the version 7 electronics and Haya are good but compare prices between their ebay and website

This is good advice, I think you will find www.forgebeartanks.com prices are cheaper,
Haya quotes tax free prices in large print and as a lot of his sales are export that is quite understandable the taxable price is seperate which is confusing to a resident of this country but like I say if you are selling overseas it make good sense.

As they say on the golf course: Gopher it! I'd second Forgebear on the HengLong King Tiger with the advice that it be HengLong 6.0 or 7.0. Andrew Haya is good, too, and I have used both though they are far from me here in the U.S. Keep us informed as to what you buy and when you get it.Yes! Fun!

I suspect the general response on here will be "yes".

Yeah Heng Long is still in the running though in either case upgrades will be happening, the 7.0 stuff has alot of features but unfortunately just lasks the strong chassis as id like to take them through mud and grass maybe even water plus Value for money with Heng Long is great for what you get! Ahh dont know
