1/16 RC Tamiya King Tiger Vehicle kickback Help

Post by Michael151722 »

Hello,

Currently finishing up my build for my Tamiya King Tiger but when testing the gun firing the gun fires and recoils into the barrel but for some reason it looks like the drive sprockets should be kicking back but from the video it’s going clockwise looks like it’s jumping forwards? For context I have channel 2, which is to control the tank forward and backward movements reversed as if I have it run on normal the actions are reversed where I press forward it goes backwards. Any help?

I just noticed you did not do a introduction yet. I am limiting my answer until you try a bit harder to join our group. viewforum.php?f=3

The MFU is sending the same signal you are using for forward as you have the controls reversed. I had to play with my M32 (Tamiya control) motor wires for a while until I got it correct. Will be happy to share more after your introduction.

Hello everyone, I am sorry I didn’t know I had to introduce myself, I did a post over there just gonna do a short one here, my name is Michael, from Toronto and have being a modeler for a for a bit but moving into RC Tanks Tamiya stuff

Regarding my problem I have fixed it by reversing the polarity on the motors and it works now but my tank runs forward/backward reversed so I flipped channel two back to normal and is fine now

Thank you!

I have built 2 Tamiya KT's. Great tanks but if you want to battle them they need aftermarket tracks and a Henntec idler tensioner. I posted up a link to our club in the introduction thread. At least a third of the active members are from Toronto although the field is in K/W. Be great if you wanted to come out on a meet day. Any issues with your tanks can generally be solved right there

Hello,

K/W as in Kitchener, Waterloo area that is extremely far from where I am but maybe one day I can make it there. In terms of battling I haven’t thought that far ahead yet as I am still finishing the basics of the build but it is a great tank, how did you like yours
