Henglong charger from motion rc,instructions?

Post by GreyAce »

I got this charger from motion rc but I have no instructions regarding the indicator light,I tried it just and the light went to red which I think is charging then it looked like it went to yellow? Not green,is it operating by goin from red to yellow to green? I have no idea.

Anyone know how these work in regards to the light?

I've seen the yellow too. That white box thing at the chargers plug tends to come out when you aren't looking. The charger plug is marked with + and - symbols just match them with the red and black wires on the battery lead if it ever gets lost (a few of mine are AWOL).

Remember these are cheap batteries and chargers. I've got a couple of each that are duds. But the ones that work have been pretty good.

What does yellow mean mate? As I don't know fully and motion rc didn't.

Either a change between colors (red to green) or perhaps a "fault" between one or the other. I have several of each and I tend to put a piece of tape with a question mark on units I suspect to be bad or weak. Replacement (better quality) batteries of the same physical size are relatively inexpensive. A good charger will be more of an investment. I have plenty of batteries and a couple of my units use these HL batteries in pairs. But I can only run one vehicle at a time so I'm not in a rush to get replacement batteries.

Hmmm, with some of my rechargeable tools, the yellow/Amber usually means there's a problem with the battery, or it isn't properly connected.

Problem is the Heng Long instructions is lacking info on the yellow light. But I would agree, I usually swap the batteries between the two chargers (I usually charge two at a time) and see if the yellow stays with the charger or follows the battery. Which is why a few of my batteries are in the "iffy" pile.

Hmm well I switched to the normal USB charger and it charged the battery completely fine so maybe the other charger is a dud? But I got two from motion rc just in case so next charging I may try that one.

I know I have been very active here but if I'm stuck regarding something I will ask plus I figure there's people like me who are goin threw learning like I am,my tank was very expensive so I don't want to ruin it etc.
