Probably a silly question,Grass running?

I have searched for this but I don't really have a good definite answer but anyways I have been running my leopard 2 pro on tiles mostly at the moment but I was wondering would it run ok on grass I have on the front,fairly short it is and here's a pic but I'm worried about breaking it what with extra strain maybe on the tank,what's the rule of thumb guys in regards to grass etc?

Advice appreciated as I don't want to break it what with it being brand new still at the moment.

Should have no issues. Most of the problems we face when running tanks out side is rocks, sticks and even grass build up clogging or stopping the tracks. I run my stuff outside and it is quite "rocky" where I live. I just watch the tank and am prepared to shut down at the first sign of a jam.

RCTW tankers do it all the time, and having the "PRO" version will help all the more. Like you, I am a bit careful:, so I'd make sure the grass is dry and I would keep the speed down (I like my tanks low and slow, mean and weathered). Otherwise, clean the tank up afterwards and all should be fine.

Looking at the grass in the photograph, you should be alright. Just remember modern long wheel base, rear drive tanks will de-track more. Than front drive tanks. Take wide turns, don’t do spin turns, be prepared to stop at the first sign of a track walking off, and look out for grass building up in the sprockets.

I’ve even taken my own advice. Occasionally.
Mr Bix. Has even questioned why I have track retention issues, and says I run my tanks too hard.

The grass is damp at the moment not really dry so I think I will hold off today but I really appreciate the advice guys the Internet says a bewildering amount of info and I'd never forgive myself if I broke it by doin something stupid when I shouldn't have,I am running it mostly on tiles at the moment which obviously shouldn't break anything and I run it to scale ie not many full throttle runs,I am trying to look after it absolutely the best I can do and if I am wondering anything you awesome members are the first I'd ask.

Do avoid wet and/or long grass it has the potential to ruin the drive train of a 1/16 tank or half track,
Sand will grind away the moving parts and water will destroy the electrics,
Model tanks are just that models use them wisely.

Totally agree with Mr Jarndice, and was what I was trying to show in my pictures. I will not show you what I have managed to brake on mine. But the list is long. The type of track does have an influence. Plastic tracks are less “grippy “ and are more, forgiving than grippy metal tracks with pads. As Mr J says we are trying to drive a comparatively small model over 1:1 terrain. Your cautions approach is good.

Yeah my leopard 2 looks strong and powerful but I guess I can wreck it easy but if it's stronger than my Helis then that's all that matters lol,Helis are fragile beasts and a pain but yeah my tank is so sick but I don't want to ruin it,caution it is.

That tank is so cool,looks sick,thought mine looked good but yours was really neat.
