Low Budget HL Jagdpanther

Good afternoon!
Today I finished my Low Budget Heng Long Jagdpanther Project!

First of all I want you to know this is not a scale rebuild!
I almost never build scale models.
The only tank I once build as scale as I could build, is my Initial Tiger one, #100 Leningrad area.
All my tanks need to be bullit proof outdoors, so I always use 1.4mm screws/nuts to secure the skirts and brackets.
Now back to my project.

What did I do:
* I moved the tube for the cleaning rods to the rear of the engine deck.
* Out of a kitchen sief I cut the grills for the motordeck.
* Zusatzpanzerung on the engine deck, I made out of 0,8mm aluminum.
* Side skirts also out of 0,8mm aluminum, brackets for it out of messing/brass.
* The Flammvernichter exhausts replaced by a set of metal ones.
* Lock lookalikes on the rear hatch and grips on the hatches on top of the superstructure.
* Out of electricity wire I did bend "eyes"which I glued into holes on both side of the superstructure.
* Wire through the "eyes", so I can later stick foliage between it for camouflage of the vehicle.
* Wire wrapped around the main gun for camo purposes too.
* Cut/filed off the LED headlight and glued a proper cover onto it.
* With a knive I tried to make the wooden jack block look like wood

The Tamiya Nato Green and Nato Brown did come the closest to the original HL colors.
For the lighter camo color, I did mix Tamiya Flesh with Tamiya Buff in 1:1, which did the job well enough for me!
Next I used an AK Wask, AK300, to mess this destroyer up in some way.
Weathering with some Enamel from Revell/Humbroll.

This is an all Plastic Heng Long Panzer, and I did not have to buy anything to make it look like in the pics.
All the stuff I used was laying around, and as you can see, with a little effort you can make a nice looking vehicle from a "cheap" tank too.
So all in all, less than 190 Euros, which was the price I payed, shipping included.
It has the Heng Long TK-7.0 main board, which is more than good enough for me.

Low budget, but high on details! Terrific work on the Jagdpanther. As much as I like the Panther (still yet to own one) I think I like this one even better!

As soon as the weather improves (no rain), I can take this one out, maybe together with my other Jagdpanther (Taigen metal), and my 3 Panthers?
We'll see.....

Great looking JP. I think we are going to be seeing a lot of JPs in the next while, almost like the Tiger resurgence this winter. They are a bit of a nightmare to IR battle with in tight quarters on our field though with the hydro pole stuck out front making them as long as a KT

Very nice work and keeping the budget under control! Gotta love jagdpanthers--built like a brick outhouse and proud of it.

What a fine accomplishment! Some of the detail photos impress me, for they show the effectiveness of your weathering. For one example: the arced scratching created by the rotating vision periscope. Then, too, I do not recall yet having seen anyone set up an RC Tank with wiring to secure natural camouflage.
