New Guy

Post by Dogberry »

Hello Everybody.

I will keep it short, been building R/c tanks since the early Eighties. First one was a Tamiya 1/16 K/T which I still have although converted to a Jadgtiger.

There have been several breaks over the years. I have continued collecting 1/16 R/C WW2 German fighting vehicles and now have over 30. I love the engineering challenge of getting them to full R/C. I hate painting them as soon as the base coat on Dunkeld goes on I lose interest.

I have a wish list of approximately 20 more tanks, enough to keep me busy.

Welcome to the forum, sounds like you have quite a fleet! We love pictures, even if you aren't happy with the paint jobs. Again, welcome aboard.

Welcome to the forum Dogberry. Sounds like you're my kind of guy (30 German WW2 fighting vehicles). I enjoy learning the mechanics of them, But I Love painting, detailing and weathering them since I started doing this addictive hobby about a year ago.

"now have over 30 [...] a wish list of approximately 20 more tanks" Ohmigosh! It's a man after my heart and behavior! As Ecam says, we'd love photos, although such is certainly not required. But to give you an idea of how bad I am, here's a link to my stash from 2020--after quite some years on a now-gone Australian list viewtopic.php?f=33&t=30720 Changes, since 2020, you ask? Well, all the 1/35 kits are sold off, but some more 1/16 tanks and static kits have slithered in through the leaks in the walls.

You have issues.

Issues I'll probably have when I catch up to your age.

But you Herr Dr. have issues. :haha: :haha: :haha:

That being understood. Don't forget to put me on the list when you want to thin the herd.
