Hi Smoky Welcome to the Forum
A Panzer 4, Well the very first thing to do is to contact Dave @ www.forgebeartanks.com and buy a Taigen PZ4 Turret from him because the Heng Long example is an inaccurate disgrace, Tamiya are generally rated the best in the business and at their prices they jolly well should be but this time Taigen have the better product,
The Tiger 1 is a tried and tested product although with FIXABLE shortcomings (Just check the builds section) There are more upgrades available for the Tiger 1 in 1/16 than any other Tank so your limit is your pocketbook although that is true of every aspect of this hobby
Ask lots of questions and as you say if you can offer useful input it would be most welcome and remember it is a hobby do tell yourself that at 2am when something just wont work ,
You are afterall doing this for fun arn'nt you?

Welcome from Ontario, Canada! Love the PZ IV especially with the "stump" 75mm/24 gun. A pugnacious looking tank!

Hi, smokywave, what kind of upgraded electronics do you plan to use? Of course, we always enjoy pictures, even if they are not required. Above all, have fun!
