In this thread is something I have been working on, I decided to be different and print inkors comet in an abs like resin.
So far it’s picking all detail out and seems as strong as hl plastic, here’s some photos of what’s printed so far

I did start assembly but I stuck the hull sides on the wrong way round and the glue had started to set when I realised so in the bin it went and a new hull is being printed. Photos will go on when it’s all printed and I start to assemble next week

As you can see in the bottom photo the mudguard are assembled but at the moment just clipped together. Though the clips seem to be self locking and the won’t come appart now without snapping off the tabs they will be reinforced along the joined and in the clips with superglue

I had to take a really thin chisel blade and use it to pry the side skirts off after test fitting, but I may end up reprinting mine as they were kinda rough the first time.

I snapped a couple of bits off the original after sticking the sides on the wrong sides and snapped a side in half during the process, though it’s repairable I have just printed another

Nice approach, the improvement in print quality you get from resin is surely worth the pain in the arse! Are you printing the parts directly on the print bed? I'm hoping they won't warp.

Some of the thinner parts have warped slightly but it’s has been designed to be screwed together rather than glued like I am, how ever I will print another and build it the way it was designed

I have dealt with the slight warping by putting the piece in place then weighing it down, in this case with some gearboxes, and as you can see because it’s quite thin it’s done the trick, I would also point out that building it how inkor designed it and screwing it in place useing m2 or m3 x 10mm countersunk self tapping screws should also do the job, but as stated I used glue just because I had the glue but not any screws

I've had good results with large flat pieces by weighing them down before curing them, squashing them under a little steel bench vice for a day and then putting them through the curing station. They seemed more inclined to hold the shape they were cured in, but they weren't printed flat on the plate.

Looks like it's all coming together nicely though, the interlocking pieces work great. I'm keen to follow along!
