Nothing to special here, but thought I'd post some pics for a change instead of just reading and looking at everyone elses.  I haven't been able to play with the airbrush to much, so just a base coat of Tamiya Dark Yellow for now with a '44 camo scheme planned when completed.  I'm also waiting on Creeping Deaths new gun system, so the turret is on hold until I hear from them.

added a Novak fan to cool the RX14 board, added a splash guard, concealed the volume switch in the left exhaust, and the on/off switch under the right exhaust [I think I saw that idea here and liked it!] Concealed and easy to access by just reaching underneath

Hey ERN,guess were both waiting on a gun system.I did manage to get my tank back together and the gun shoots great,only problem is the limit switch that activates the recoil servo is backwards,plug it up barrel goes in,fire the gun and it cycles.I don't know if your familiar with the painting and weathering child board but alot of great info,I am hoping our next thread will be on camo painting,maybe if we can do something you can join in,Oz pretty much took me and Steiner in hand and away we went,both first time airbrush users.Your Tiger looks like mine 4-months ago,well all the best with your build,if I can be any help you can always find me on the forum between 6-9 CST,almost every night,hope to have a new gun system soon,Blake 1-saxondog

Ern,what kind of drive system and did you make the gearbox guard,seems it is coming together for you,keep the pictures coming,Blake my bad in the picture the bottom plate looked like a guard,I should have had my glasses on.

Thanks Sax... yeah, I've read that thread many times and will definately be using the info there in the near future.  Looking back, I probably should have stayed away from the Tamiya rattle cans and did the base coat with the airbrush to get some practice but I wanted to a least get this put together.  The last I heard from Shelby they were working on all the copywrite junk with the attorneys so hopefully they don't hit any more snags.  Sounds impressive!  

Great idea about a Camo Paint Child Board... all right, where are you guys?!  I'm going to need some help with that for sure!  :-\

Sax, I'm using the steel gear boxes from RC Command.  They are a lot quieter than the standard metal gears... I was waiting on the steel 3:1 but haven't heard anything on them in quite a while.

The gearbox guard is just made from some sheet styrene - basically just a wall right now, but I'm going to add some flaps to totally cover the gears before I'm done

I did not have my glasses,so I was right in seeing something after all,I have the 3:1 w/gruapner speed 400 motors,but they have been a problem with the pinion gear on the motor coming loose,I will try super glue next.The asiatam hull is great,solid and the only problems I know of are the hull riding high and the axles will not work with stock H/L wheels,but you seem to have that covered,nice set of metal wheels,have you decided on a unit yet? And if I here from Shelby I will pm you,Blake

Something in the 101st...

The only problem I had was with the rear idler axel. Had to make one out of a bolt.  The axels on the metal wheels came installed from RC Command and work great.  Bill took care of that for me!
Yes, it does ride a bit high.  I have the tensioner cranked all the way down and it's still not where I like it.  It's sitting at about 11 lbs now so I'm hoping that the torsion springs will relax a bit with use.  I love the weight... the thing will drive over anything!
