Anyone with a 1:8 all metal Tiger I

Post by Muscleflex »

Anyone here with the above tank?
I’m picking one up next week and would like to read up more on any tips or mods and maintenance.

Thanks all

I'm affraid that you will be the first. ;) Can you ask how much it cost because the prices given, for example, on Aliexpress are absurd.

If it's the Heng Long 1/8th version at $11,000 USD, that would be the reason no one owns one around here. That's more money than a 1/6th scale tank from Armortek. 1/8th isn't a really popular scale either. Most people prefer 1/16, 1/10, 1/12, or 1/6. 1/12 is mostly for non-tracked vehicles.

I wanted to say the same - for this price you can have Armortek in 1/6 and still have some left over to buy crew figures, electronics etc. 1/8 is a very niche scale (I think I've only seen a Jeep in this scale). That's why there are zero upgrades, figures, etc. You will have to do everything yourself or 3D print.

Didn't HL make a Tiger I in 1:10 scale? Perhaps that's one in question here? Have a suspicious that might be the case.
