I've never install one before so im looking for a diagram or instructions for all the connecters if any one has one

im trying toinstall version 7.1 into a tank that has an old motherboard so would like to see a diagram of the connections.

The problem you will face is that your earlier board has "JST" plugs,
These will have to be changed.
The "7" board uses a totally different plug.
Of course you could just change your earlier board for a nice aftermarket board and keep the "JST" plugs and in most cases finish up with a much better Tank.

the little red wire that comes out of the uit near l9 i think is that the wire that connects to the controller wirelessly ? so i can do away with the aerial on the tank ?

It should be routine enough to get the functions working if you get the plugs changed onto the respective wires for each operation, elevation, rotation and the drive motors, but BB will be the likely sticking point.
Be sure to add a loop wire into the Trigger socket. Just use an old cable, cut it down to an inch long off the plug, bare both wires & join them with solder & heat shrink-done.
That will give you cannon sound .
