Hello from USA/Virginia

Post by GiddyupGoJoe »

Thanks for allowing me to join. I collect military toys and RC naturally falls into that category. Currently I have a 1/6 scale Stuart M5 (project) tank in my shed awaiting me to fix it. I also have several 1/16 Heng Long tanks needing some tlc. I’m a retired state police sergeant and also served in the army as a military policeman and was a sergeant in a field artillery battery with the 29th Infantry Division (Blue&Gray) I trade police coins and patches once in a blue moon. I’m easy going and being a Christian I try to treat others like I wish to be treated.

Welcome. I grew up in the Maryland/DC area before eventually moving to Texas. I had an M5 Stuart back in the day and it was fun working on it. If you run R/C tanks for any amount of time...they all need TLC or some PMs (Preventative Maintenance for you non-military types) from time to time.

Welcome from southeastern Pennsylvania.

I also have a 1/6 Stuart project but it has been shelved in favor of converting a 1/6 Dragon Sherman to RC (which is progressing a slowly).

Enjoy the forum and have fun with the hobby.

If you are not already aware of Bob Steinbrunn's book on the 1/6 Stuart, here's my shameless plug for his book:
