Some small updates
Something i have been working on in the evenings after busting up my fingers with scalpel blades, deburring tools and files and all sorts and sniffing the fumes of lots of glue, i have been doing alot of CAD for the M9 trailer.
It will be designed as a self build kit eventually. Many parts will be machined or CNC'd and we will also do our fair share of manual machining on the mill.
Before we can kick off the tooling though in larger batches, we have to trial build a few prototypes
Here are some checks of how the M9 dolly is progressing. Everything is mounted on metal bearings and has flexible bump stops to help smoothen the ride
With some tweaks to give the front wheels more ride height, this will also allow a little more articulation from the wheels.
As usual some heavy engineering for such a small model, but it should allow it to run nicely even with a proper load.
More to follow, but until then, i will be assembling suspension units on some 251s, wish me luck
