This post to ask help to a German member/ modeller.
I need to buy Tamiya parts for a Pershing in a German shop, but who send package only in Germany. If someone can help me to order, receive and re-ship in France for me, it will be a big service to me. Of course, before you order, I will send payment by paypal.
If you are this person, pm me please.
Have a good day.
Fred.

Hello,
nice that everything worked well ,and you can now build your beloved tanks.
After the flood disaster I learned to appreciate help, now I'm happy to help others, even with such normal little things.
with regards,Guido
Hi Guido,
I wonder why Germany mostly refuses to ship outside, not even to neighbour countries like Austria. I asked it in heng long panzerforum and the stupid answer I got was like: "Sellers are not forced to ship outside" Heck, that is obvious, but why on earth most of german guys don't want to ship outside their country? What is exactly the reason?
I have never seen something like that from any other country, unless very dark places like North Korea. Having an issue like that in the center of europe blows my mind.
Several times I had to ask for help like our colleague, and it pisses me a lot having to annoy fellow colleagues for things like that.

Rad my good friend you make a good point and a questionable one.
I also wonder why some German dealers seem reluctant to sell their products outside that country BUT I am NEVER annoyed at fellow members of the Forum asking for help.
Being a member of the Forum this is what we do,
Without exception I will always search to see if I have the particular item and get it in the post first thing and I know having been on the receiving end of similar help from others on this Forum I am not alone AM I RAD, SASSGRUNT ET AL without the help from the two named worthies and others many of my PZ4s and a Kubel would be on the shelf unfinished gathering dust.
So thank you all I am in your debt but at least I know how to repay you
Good morning,
the question why some German traders do not deliver everywhere has several reasons...
On the one hand it is the effort, for goods that are sent worldwide, customs papers have to be created.
Then there is the insurance of the goods against loss and the resulting very high shipping costs.
The traders concerned are all mail order companies.
The profit margin is low, every additional expense reduces the profit....
In addition, things have certainly happened that have led to the
that the trader no longer wants to ship worldwide.....
And by the way: this is not a German problem
I know e.g. some american traders who do not want to ship worldwide
@Jarndice: Surely forum members are super helpful! And I remind you every time I open my PIV because of the replacement parts you graciously sent me, which by the way, were unobtainable because the same problem: The only seller that had those in stock, refused to send outside germany. But still, I feel bad asking for favours and paying double shipping (Seller-forum friend, forum friend-me)
@jhamm: Yeah, I have read that excuse "effort, customs, blah blah blah". As many of you know I live in Austria. There is absolutely no extra work, no customs, no nothing, at all, between germany and austria. Most sellers don't even have to write any address, ticket is automatically printed, no customs, no papers, no nothing. It is exactly the same job to send a parcel to your neighbour one street away from you, than to me. Then, why do they refuse to do european shipping? Yeah I understand if they refuse to send it to a small island in áfrica, but to Austria? C'mon.
High shipping charges: Those are always paid by the customer and is him who decides to pay them or not. Why can it be a concern for the seller? Still, yet again, some other sellers do ship to Austria, still cheap. And, do you think 19 eur shipping can be a concern for those who invests 900 Eur in a tank? That is what costed me sending a tamiya tank in original box with an express courier like Hermes, I used a lot in the past. Mention appart those sellers who, being able to ship it with deutsche post for 2-3 euros decide to send it with DHL for 20 Euros even when I demand the cheapest service. Of course I am talking about cheap things like small electronic components that cost a couple of euros, but seller overcharges with that much. It really pisses needing to buy some components that costs 2 euros, and best case scenario being charged 20 euros shipping, worst case scenario the seller won't ship outside. Then government wonder why we buy in aliexpress.
You said it is not a german problem, but I sent my envelopes with my stencils worldwide, to even countries in the middle of anywhere that I thought had no internet, and never, ever, had any problem. Same with parcels. It is not the case of austria being an exception, it is the same sending from my homeland, Spain.
American sellers might not want to send outside, but in that case they do have an excuse, there need indeed extra documents and problems with customs that can be a pain, but it is not the case of germany sending inside europe. This it is surely a problem in Germany. And nobody can tell me which one it is. Just (IMHO) vague illogical answers, and never I got any of them by sellers, just by clients. Maybe Guido or Ludwig, as sellers, can explain us why. There must be a logic reason, a law... something!
Sorry for the rant, but it caused me a lot of frustration in the past. I remember once that Xhelix got 4 of my orders at his home to send everything together to me (thanks again!), because no german seller wanted to ship to austria. Those were seidl modelbau, ebay shop and two more that I don't remember now.
