what brand of plastic primer is the best for hl?
Trial and lots of errors...

any sort of auto/car Matt primer will do, i use red-oxide black or Grey depending on what i,m painting........................cheers oz

Red oxide would be the correct colour for primer in early 1944

Hi I use acrylic auto red plastic primer . Was gettin it from Hallfords but my local car suypplies store stockslarger tins and only £3 !!!1

if there is a home-base near you they sell a plasti-coat primer which is a perfect panzer Grey match.................oz
