Tankzone

Post by Tom3 »

I'm a returning modeler after a long break and have set my heart on the all metal Mato early version RC Tiger Tank in 1/16th scale. It would appear that Tankzone are the only UK dealer selling this model , however I have been trying to contact them via email (their checkout does not appear to function) since early December with no response. Have they closed down and is there an alternative UK dealer?
I don't want to buy from abroad , having recently had experience on items going wrong , its been a nightmare trying to resolve any problems . Can anyone here help or have a contact number for Tankzone?

Welcome to the Forum
I hope you will forgive me if I say good riddance if Tankzone have gone out of business,
They ripped me off to the sum of £400+ some years ago,
As to Mato full metal tanks Unless you have a very good reason to buy one I would go for the equivalent Tank by Heng Long or Taigen, Reason? Full metal tanks are heavy and wear out all the running gear prematurely,
They drink electrical energy from the battery and any work you carry out on the Tank Body will show up whereas a plastic/Abs body can be invisibly filled and whereas most body /Hull and Turret parts are interchangeable between Heng Long and Taigen I can think of nothing that will transfer to or from a Mato Tank without modification,
Try Dave at------
www.forgebeartanks.com
for Tanks including Mato if you are determined to get one,
He used to sell Mato parts and he will be able to direct you to a reputable dealer if he is unable to find you something already to hand.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
