105mm M68A1?

Post by Maccrage »

I have a Heng Long M1A2 that I want to convert to a M1. The only thing I would need that I can't make myself is the gun tube. Does anyone make one? Metal, resin, 3D printed, it doesn't matter.

Sounds odd but what about a section of fishing rod?
Kids ones are quite cheap and if you measure up , perhaps what profile you need it in part of a fishing rod!
Tapered and can be drilled out.
Just a thought

Might this be usable as a starting point?

Much too short, M51 had a L44 barrel, 68A1 is L55.
Super Sherman barrel is almost 4 feet shorter.
