With Christmas and Covid (Omicron, or, is it Omigod!) approaching, one which is generally stressful, and the other- sadly- fatal for many, it's good to boost the immune system with a timely chuckle.
This story from Wales, is scarcely credible; but I thought I'd put a link to it as it involves a WW2 six-pounder anti-tank shell, discovered in some hapless guy's nether end!
How on Earth can you 'fall' on a six-pounder and end up using it-effectively- as a suppository?
How often, I wonder, did this happen in tanks during the War?

I am sitting in a local restaurant drinking gin and soda. I will check again tomorrow to see if I am really reading. I suppose the experience scared the BEEP out of him.

Gives a new meaning to Shakespeare's line: "...once more unto the breach! " (Breech in this instance
).
I chuckled at the thought that the Bomb Squad had been called. (Bum squad, more like). Imagine their surprise!
.
I have to say give him full marks for elasticity
He's lucky it wasn't a German 88

OUCH!
That has to be the funniest and most squeamish thing i have heard recently
In everything we can learn from this situation folks
If you find artillery shells do not place on the ground pointing upwards! Just lay it flat somewhere away from yourself!
Or collect larger shells which are not soo easy to hide away and slip where the sun dont shine
I bet he wished it was live with the embarassment of that! Just get a hammer and hit the flat bit please
