Pershing Periscope Guards

Post by SCHWEREPANZER »

I know that hen's teeth are rare, but I'm finding that Schumo Pershing periscope guards are even harder to find. And while I'm at it, scale turnbuckles are a close second to the guards. So, my fellow obsessives, can anyone turn me to a source for these essential but almost non-existent pieces?

Thanks as always to the braintrust that resides on this site.

These periscope guards are very hard if not impossible to get hold of I needed another three for my Pershing . I used a couple I already had left over from a Sherman but in the end I managed to make some of my own from some brass wire bent and shaped then soldered together . Not exactly perfect but a lot better than none, took a couple of attempts to get right but managed in the end and a lot cheaper. will be making my own again in future as I kept one original for reference.

Thanks Lance Corporal 4. The turnbuckles may be worth a look see. Nice lead. And it seems to me Private C that you have the makings of a profitable cottage industry at your fingertips if you decide to make them generally available in these uncertain times. Something to think about?

Thanks chaps,

I'm lucky to get two sets of these (one is used on Sherman). I don't understand this policy - those items are in extreme demand but supply is almost non existent. I'm checking Schumo page everyday for Sherman parts ;)

Sergeant K.,

"I'm checking Schumo page everyday for Sherman parts."

But, I bet with a singular lack of success. This is frustrating.

I've got a pretty good stash in my Sherman bits box but unfortunately I also have 5 Sherman's on my build list which need them :(
