Open them up and check the wires and check that theres nothing jamming the gearboxes.

Also what type of main boards do they have RX13/14 or RX18(in a small black box). The old RX13/14's were known for blowing their drive Transistors/Fets which would result in one or both tracks not working.

Thanks for the reply Woz, i have opened the tiger up,it's the rx14 board and no wires off as i can see and it;s not a mechanical fault. I've posted a couple of pictures of the fets and the only thing i can see is the trace broken above them, thats on both sides of the fet board so that might be the problem

you can repair that break with a small piece of wire  ;) ;)

it may not cure it as the fet may have gone try a repair or new board im afraid :-\

If these are new then send them back as it looks like someones tried to resolder the FETS with a flame thrower.

1st pic - 2nd fet from left looks like right hand side pins have been cooked.

2nd pic - 2nd fet from left someone's got carried away with the solder and has shorted all the pins on the left hand side.

Fv432, thanks for the reply i, braced it with a piece of wire and that finished it off altogether , it was worth a try.

Woz, thank you, i bought them knowing the were none runners but it .could have been something simple like a wire off, the snow leopard's probably the same.

That board needs a Priest, not a soldering iron... Give it the last rites and get a new one I'm afraid :(

It's always a gamble with non runners but at least the replacment parts are cheap

Buy some RX18s.

Ex pat tanker,  yeah it was a toss up between a priest or a bunch of grapes, turned out to be the last rites
Woz, are the rx18s a straight swap, will need 2, the snow leopard looks the same
