The PanzerKampfWagen IV Ausf G medium tank is one of the modifications of the most massive tank of Nazi Germany, the Pz.Kpfw.IV, developed by the Krupp-Gruson company. The first modifications of the Pz.Kpfw.IV with 50mm cannons entered service with the Wehrmacht in 1938. On November 18, 1941, the German Arms Directorate issued an order for the development of a 75-mm tank gun with a 43-caliber barrel for the Pz.Kpfw.IV tank. The new molification received the name Pz.IVAufs.G was produced from May 1942 with a KwK40 cannon with a barrel length of 43 caliber, and from August - with a KwK40 cannon with a barrel length of 48 calibers. During production until April 1943, 1,687 units of this modification were manufactured.
